- Created startabusinessgp.org, a one-stop digital platform for all new business owners to get the information and mentorship they need to start.
- Awarded $150,0000 in grants to 30 small businesses
- Developed a network of mentors to help the new business owners from the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Bradley, the Minority Business Development Center, SCORE, the Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and the Greater Peoria Economic Development Council
- Contracted with Smart Start, a local Peoria – area startup, to utilize their platform for education and tracking of small business accomplishments

- Chair since 2011
- Reviews potential loans to local businesses needing to grow, increasing the number of Peora County Employees
- Loans have to gone to companies like Trefzger’s Bakery, Hoerr Racing, and Natural Fiber Welding
- All have been paid back or are in good standing
